Caring for your Bico Product - Chemicals used in traditional jewelry cleaning methods must not be used when cleaning your BICO product. BICO recommends gently rinsing your product in warm water and drying it with a soft cloth. In general, sensible care will ensure a long life for your BICO product. Direct exposure to colognes and aftershave, pool products, and excess sweat can affect the coating and plating of your product. Furthermore, pendants and chains should be rinsed and dried if worn in the ocean.

A Great Piece May 25, 2010
I bought this pendant four months ago and it still looks brand new. I've worn it every day since then and it never lost its shine. One thing that's not true to the description, however, is that the colored part of the necklace isn't just painted metal. It's a colored glass/crystal of some kind. In my book, that's better than some cheaply painted metal.

I had forgotten that the necklace symbolizes power, protection, and authority and this was still a great conversation starter. People ask about it all the time and complimented the unique look. Now that I remember what it stands for, I'll wear it with even more pride.

The ring that holds the pendant to the necklace is welded sturdily to the pendant and I don't think you'd have to worry about it breaking, though I can't say for sure if I've ever dropped it.

Another problem I've run into with some other pendants is that the ring that your chain goes through is too small, so the pendant will get hooked on the chain and end up somewhere besides the center of your necklace. The ring on this pendant is a good size and this never happens to me. The pendant always hangs perfectly in the center and it doesn't even get caught on the clasps of my necklace.

The final thing I'd like to point out is that the pendant is solid! Some pendants like this have a hollow back and a light feel to cut down on the price of materials required and you have no way of telling whether the pendant you're going to receive will have a solid or a cheap feel. This pendant has a completely solid construction with an appropriate weight to it.

Altogether, this was a fantastic buy, especially for the price. I'd recommend it to anyone who thinks this pendant looks interesting.
